YouTube Brand Voice
I worked as a consultant and writer to help YouTube with an ambitious task: revamping the company’s brand voice. Partnering with a strategist and YouTube’s team, we worked together to lay the groundwork for a complete overhaul of the company’s brand voice guidelines. This was a monumental undertaking, considering how many teams and businesses YouTube has, not to mention this would affect YouTube’s 120,000 employees across the globe. In addition to helping identify YouTube’s core identity, understanding the different audiences for each channel offering, conducting competitive analysis and numerous stakeholder interviews, we developed a strategy and structure for the foundations of a new brand voice. While I can’t show any of the work on my site, I’m happy to discuss how I’ve helped brands like YouTube and many others develop, revamp, and elevate their brand voice.
